R36S 64GB vs 128GB: Is the Extra $10 Worth It?
Choose 64GB at $79.99 when saving $10 matters and the selected package meets your needs. Choose 128GB at $89.99 for twice the nominal storage, not a faster console or a guaranteed extra game list. Advertised figures are 15,000+ and 20,000+, but counts do not identify editions, languages, unique additions or performance. Confirm your essential game first, then decide how much space you want for a library you can manage. This guide separates the verified price/capacity choice from unverified supplied contents.

Buy 128GB — $89.99 →Storage buying rule: The extra $10 buys 64GB more nominal capacity. Choose it when you want room for a library you intend to manage; save the $10 when the lower-capacity package suits you. Neither choice certifies HeartGold, Platinum or a complete DS/PSP set. A game that drives your purchase needs its own edition, input and supplied-content check.

💚 Pokémon — Edition and Input Checks
For Pokémon fans, identify the exact edition before comparing capacity. The table is a verification checklist, not a preload manifest. Its colors group the original rows and do not certify compatibility.
| Pokémon Game | Generation | 64GB | 128GB |
|---|---|---|---|
| Red, Blue, Yellow | Gen 1 | Confirm edition, language and saves | Confirm edition, language and saves |

💡 The Pokémon buying rule: Neither storage label establishes how many distinct Pokémon editions are supplied. Confirm your preferred title, language and save behavior. For DS releases, also check screen switching and necessary touch input. Spending $10 for storage does not solve those requirements; a game-focused buyer should resolve them before choosing either card.
⚡ PSP — Storage Is Not Speed
A PSP buying decision needs exact-game evidence before a storage decision. Neither a card label nor a supplied-file count establishes full-speed gameplay. Check representative scenes, audio, controls and saves on the supplied emulator and settings.
64GB — Verify Supplied PSP Contents
Questions for the lower-capacity package; not confirmed contents:
- Ask about LocoRoco 1 & 2 separately
- Ask about Lumines and its input/audio timing
- Confirm the actual supplied PSP list
- Verify Tactics Ogre edition and menus
- Verify Crisis Core combat and saves
- Verify Persona 3 Portable edition and language
- Verify each Patapon game and rhythm timing
- Verify the intended Castlevania DXC mode
128GB — More Space, Separate PSP Checks
Questions for the higher-capacity package; no complete-library promise:
- Confirm Tactics Ogre contents and readable battle menus
- Confirm Crisis Core contents and representative gameplay
- Confirm Persona 3 Portable edition and save/reload
- Confirm each Patapon title and audio/input timing
- Confirm Castlevania DXC mode and controls
- Confirm Ys combat, movement and sound
- Confirm FF Tactics edition and menu readability
- A library total is not a measured all-title result
🎯 Who Should Buy Which?
| Your situation | Buy this | Reason |
|---|---|---|
| Pokémon Gen 1–3 interest | Choose after verification | Check the exact edition and language; 64GB can save $10 when its package fits. |
| Want Pokémon HeartGold | Verify game/input first | Neither card label proves supply or a workable DS setup. |
| Want Pokémon Platinum | Verify game/input first | Confirm edition, language, screens, necessary input and saving. |
| Want Tactics Ogre or Crisis Core | Verify PSP needs first | Confirm the exact game and representative performance; larger storage is not faster hardware. |
| Gift with GBA/SNES interests | Choose by recipient fit | Confirm desired games and who will explain saves, shutdown and menus; age does not choose capacity. |
| Unsure how much space is needed | Decide your library plan | 128GB doubles nominal capacity, not verified unique content. |
| Gift buyer without known preferences | Ask about two favorites | A larger number does not substitute for recipient interests, suitable games or setup help. |
| Budget is the primary concern | Consider 64GB | The device-price entry is $79.99; confirm essentials and applicable checkout charges. |
🏆 Final Verdict
Choose 128GB at $89.99 when extra room is useful to you. The extra $10 buys twice the nominal capacity. It does not establish a complete DS/PSP library, named Pokémon additions, improved processor performance or twice the distinct supplied games. Before paying for either option, identify an essential edition and resolve its supplied-content, controls and save requirements.
Choose 64GB at $79.99 when: Saving $10 matters and the selected package meets your actual needs. A focused library can be a useful reason to start here, but neither age nor a franchise name certifies suitability. For a gift, check interests and setup help; for a personal device, check the two games you would actually play.

Buy 128GB →❓ Frequently Asked Questions
What is the difference between R36S 64GB and 128GB?
The selected 64GB device price is $79.99 and 128GB is $89.99, a $10 difference for twice the nominal capacity. Advertised figures are 15,000+ and 20,000+; these do not establish distinct additions, named games, languages, complete libraries or faster gameplay. Verify essential supplied titles separately.
Is the R36S 128GB worth the extra $10?
It is worthwhile if you want extra room for a library you intend to manage and are comfortable paying $10 more. Choose 64GB if the lower price meets your needs. More storage does not independently add DS support, better PSP performance or every game from the smaller card plus named extras.
Does the R36S 64GB have Pokémon HeartGold?
Neither capacity label establishes whether HeartGold is supplied. Confirm the exact DS edition, preferred language and delivered files for your selected package. Also check two-screen readability, necessary input and saving. Do not buy 128GB solely on the assumption that it guarantees HeartGold.
Can I upgrade from 64GB to 128GB later?
A larger compatible card may be an option, but the exact device revision, card layout, firmware and expansion support must be checked first. Back up the working cards and saves before changes and follow instructions for that exact setup. Larger media does not automatically install this store’s 128GB contents, and no separately sold upgrade package or migration success is established here.
