RG34XX or RGB30? Buy the view and inputs you will use.
Start with RG34XX at $149.99 USD for a wanted horizontal, digital-control GBA routine. Investigate RGB30 64G at $189.99 when its square canvas or a demonstrated useful stick mapping earns the extra $40. Choose RGB30 128G at $219.99 only when its actual additional usable space earns a separate $30. Neither premium is a universal performance upgrade or a guaranteed larger GBA picture.
Both source references show horizontal bodies with controls beside the screen. RG34XX's description lists 3.4-inch 720×480, 3:2; RGB30's historic handle lists 720×720 IPS, while its supplier graphic advertises a four-inch screen. At those ideal dimensions, a proportion-preserved GBA-shaped picture is approximately 3.40 inches diagonally on either one. RGB30's extra vertical room matters much more for near-square content than for that wide image.
Choose around a favorite release, readable ordinary menus, meaningful controls and a save you can return to. The comparison separates exact catalog options, attributed source specifications, calculated display examples and editorial illustrations. Actual software and essential tasks must fit before either becomes the recommendation.

The thirty-second choice
| Your actual priority | Investigate first | The decisive condition |
|---|---|---|
| GBA-first play and a horizontal digital front | RG34XX, $149.99 | The desired games, 3× presentation, controls and preparation fit. |
| A physically taller near-square picture | RGB30 64G, $189.99 | Your intended release uses that space at correct proportions. |
| A physical stick with a useful supported task | Investigate RGB30 | Recognition, mapping and the actual action are demonstrated. |
| A much larger GBA picture because the label says four inches | Compare occupied view first | Both ideal widths are approximately 2.83 inches; panel diagonals mislead here. |
| More room for a known collection | Consider RGB30 128G after format fit | Actual additional usable space is worth $30, not presumed extra speed. |
| A gift or an indispensable demanding title | Resolve preparation and task first | No capacity, chip name or screen illustration establishes the whole session. |

1. Begin with the playing moment, not a platform count
A creature journey, a party RPG, a puzzle board or a familiar platform stage can be the reason you want a dedicated handheld. Translate that attraction into an exact release, original platform, language and repeated activities. A franchise name can hide several different image shapes, controllers and software requirements.
For GBA-first play, list overworld movement, dialogue, menus, shoulder actions and ordinary saves. Those can make RG34XX's horizontal digital layout and matching 3:2 grid the positive purchase reason. For a mixed collection, identify whether a near-square view or a meaningful analog action changes the priorities.
Separate indispensable games from optional experiments. A favorite you intend to finish deserves relevant evidence. An untested future platform should not become a fictional reason to spend more today. A focused collection can be easier to understand than thousands of unknown menu entries.
The objective is a session you want to reopen. That involves view, inputs, sound, preparation and progress together. A dramatic image starts the interest, but the exact task should finish the purchase decision.
2. Two selected offers, not blended model families
The RG34XX linked here is product 10648901845285. It has one Color field with ten values ending in 64G, all $149.99. Five begin with New. That prefix does not establish a revised processor, improved screen, safer media or a named firmware.
The RGB30 linked here is product 10647535092005. It offers Blue, Black and White, each with 64G at $189.99 or 128G at $219.99. The complete six-variant selector contains no Bag, No Card or game-count label. Another RGB30 URL has different configurations; those are not imported here.
Keep the exact URL, complete selector and current price together. Matching model names or 64G wording does not prove equal preparation, card arrangement, free space or accessories. These price differences compare complete independent offers, not individual components.
The readable product descriptions and pictured source directions give context; they do not inspect the selected parcel. Historic words inside a long handle are not a separate current-unit certificate. Checkout and chosen options take precedence if prices or availability change.
3. Both are horizontal; the remaining choice is different
Both displayed source references place a central screen between left and right controls. Choosing hands beside the display therefore does not by itself separate these models. Do not borrow a vertical-versus-horizontal verdict from a different comparison.
RG34XX's source has a left D-pad, right face buttons, two small lower-left controls and lower-right speaker grille. RGB30's source has an upper-left D-pad, upper-right face buttons, lower sticks on both sides, small upper controls and lower speaker slots. These are pictured arrangements, not measurements of mechanisms or personal comfort.
The concrete questions are whether you want the GBA-shaped digital front or the square canvas with stick-bearing controls, and whether the actual software turns those differences into a useful routine. A familiar silhouette can be appealing without proving one body is universally easier to hold.
Evaluate repeated direction changes, simultaneous presses and shoulder reach. A brief static grip does not reveal what happens during a difficult level or a long command sequence. Neither source gives a paired ergonomic result.
4. A square is a canvas, not a command to stretch
RG34XX's listed 720×480 grid has a 3:2 ratio. RGB30's historic 720×720 grid is square. Games and interfaces can have other intended proportions, so the active picture need not occupy every panel pixel.
A proportion-preserved landscape image fitted across a square leaves room above and below. A near-square image fitted to RG34XX's 3:2 panel can leave side room. Taller-than-square material fitted to the square's height can leave side room too. Border direction follows the chosen content and mode, not the device name alone.
Stretching changes shapes. Cropping can hide hazards, command rows or useful edges. A full promotional picture therefore does not prove faithful presentation. Choose the mode that preserves what matters in the actual release, even if it leaves tidy unused space.
Raw pixel grids and intended historical display proportions can differ. Integer scaling, aspect correction, filtering and overlays are separate settings. Neither advertised ratio certifies compatibility, supplied games, touchscreen behavior or optical quality.
5. The same 3× GBA grid, with different surrounding space
A 240×160 source multiplied by three produces 720×480. That matches RG34XX's advertised full grid. It also fits RGB30's advertised 720×720 canvas, leaving 240 unused rows in total, or 120 above and 120 below when centered.
In that simple example both can give each original pixel a 3×3 block. RGB30's extra rows do not add original game detail or expand the visible world. RG34XX's full-panel use does not establish that the game runs faster. These are two presentations of the same source dimensions.
| Example | Active source mapping | Unused panel area | What needs checking |
|---|---|---|---|
| RG34XX integer 3× | 720×480 | None in this simple full fit | Actual integer mode, full viewport, filters and overlays. |
| RGB30 integer 3× | 720×480 | 120 rows above and below if centered | Actual centered viewport and correct proportions. |
| RGB30 stretched square fill | Would change the 3:2 shape | May visually fill the canvas | Not a faithful-ratio or performance advantage. |
Neither panel specification proves that the supplied emulator boots in the preferred mode. Ask for actual scaling, aspect, filter and overlay settings if they determine the purchase. A full-screen illustration is not that demonstration.
The practical choice for a primarily GBA collection is therefore not “more rows must be better.” It is whether the actual body, digital inputs and prepared presentation already meet the routine, or whether another RGB30-specific benefit earns the premium.
6. Four inches does not buy a much wider GBA picture here
An ideal 3.4-inch 3:2 panel is approximately 2.829 inches wide. An ideal four-inch square is approximately 2.828 inches wide. Their advertised diagonals differ because their heights and shapes differ, not because one necessarily supplies much more horizontal room.
A 3:2 picture spanning those ideal widths calculates to 3.40 inches diagonally on RG34XX and approximately 3.40 on RGB30. In this particular raw 240×160 3× example, both also use the full available width. The surrounding square space does not enlarge the GBA image.
| Source-based quantity | RG34XX direction | RGB30 direction |
|---|---|---|
| Advertised full diagonal | 3.4 inches | 4 inches |
| Advertised ratio | 3:2 | 1:1 |
| Calculated ideal width | Approximately 2.829 inches | Approximately 2.828 inches |
| Calculated ideal height | Approximately 1.886 inches | Approximately 2.828 inches |
| Maximum proportional 3:2 picture diagonal | 3.40 inches | Approximately 3.40 inches |
The assumptions are that the advertised diagonal spans the active rectangle, ratios hold, and software uses the intended viewport without extra overlays. Actual visible panels, renderer rounding and settings remain separate. This is not a matched legibility or optical-quality result.
A browser can enlarge either device image until it fills your monitor. Compare actual populated menus at ordinary distance rather than two arbitrary webpage zoom levels. If substantially larger GBA text is essential, investigate physical playable width directly instead of purchasing the largest diagonal label.
7. Near-square games give RGB30's height a different job
A raw 160×144 picture has a 10:9 ratio. Under the listed grids, its largest integer fit is 3× on RG34XX, giving 480×432, and 4× on RGB30, giving 640×576. This time the extra square height enables a meaningfully different presentation.
Centered inside 720×480, the RG34XX example leaves 120 pixels on each side and 24 above and below. Centered inside 720×720, the RGB30 example leaves 40 on each side and 72 above and below. Borders are the intentional result of the specified mapping, not a failure to support the source.
Using ideal physical dimensions, those integer pictures calculate to approximately 2.54 and 3.38 inches diagonally. Maximum proportional 10:9 fit calculates to approximately 2.82 and 3.81 inches instead. Integer and maximum-fit examples are different modes; keep the setting attached to every number.
| Presentation | RG34XX | RGB30 | Meaning |
|---|---|---|---|
| 160×144 integer fit | 3×, 480×432, about 2.54-inch active diagonal | 4×, 640×576, about 3.38-inch active diagonal | More physical height can serve the near-square image. |
| Maximum proportion-preserved 10:9 fit | About 2.82-inch active diagonal | About 3.81-inch active diagonal | Non-integer sampling; actual software must provide the wanted mode. |
| Measured reading or optical result | Not supplied | Not supplied | Geometry explains a candidate benefit, not personal comfort. |
This is a stronger square-screen rationale than assuming every GBA scene becomes larger. The exact release, reading and controls still matter. A source game's name or a nostalgic character does not establish its edition, inclusion or acceptable play on the chosen setup.
8. A deliberate 4:3 collection sits between those examples
For an ideal image intended as 4:3, proportional fit calculates to approximately 3.14 inches diagonally on RG34XX and 3.54 on RGB30. RGB30 leaves top and bottom room; RG34XX leaves side room. The square's advantage for this task differs from the near-equal GBA picture and the larger near-square difference.
That does not mean every home-console or arcade source should be forced to 4:3. The actual release can require intended-aspect correction or another orientation. For some older outputs, square raw pixels and the intended viewing shape are not identical.
Weight the collection you will repeat. If almost every essential session is GBA-first, a few hypothetical alternate games may not justify the premium. If near-square or 4:3 interfaces dominate your evenings, those views deserve more weight than a single bright opening scene.
A larger card cannot change the physical rectangle or add rotation support. An available scaler can fit, crop or stretch; those are software presentation choices, not new processing capabilities or a universal platform guarantee.

9. Compare the interface that contains information
A recognizable battle or jumping character can make the device appealing while hiding ordinary reading needs. For a story campaign, include dialogue, quantities, status labels, inventory rows and the commands you use repeatedly. Use the intended language and edition.
For GBA-shaped material, the ideal width calculation gives little reason to expect a substantially larger picture on RGB30. For near-square material, the extra height can be a relevant starting direction. Neither conclusion measures fonts, contrast, motion, panel revisions or your personal vision.
Keep the actual mode and distance comparable. A larger font, translation patch, filter, exposure or crop on only one setup can explain the apparent advantage. Compare useful content instead of unrelated illustration scenes and call out the conditions.
A valid preference can be full-panel integer GBA pixels, a taller near-square picture or a non-integer mode you enjoy. No universal sharpness score is needed. An unanswered essential reading requirement deserves an answer, not another nominal storage tier.
10. RG34XX's digital front can be the positive reason to buy
For suitable exploration, command menus, platform actions and shoulder sequences, a D-pad and buttons can be exactly the controls you want. A stickless front is not automatically incomplete classic hardware. Name the release's essential inputs before treating another device's sticks as required value.
Check diagonals, held directions, reversals and simultaneous presses. For menu play, check deliberate selection and confirmation. The source layout shows where controls sit but does not measure accuracy, actuation force, noise or latency.
If your real preference is a digital-led horizontal GBA routine, RG34XX's $149.99 price is a sensible starting direction when the actual setup meets it. You do not need a fictitious RGB30 disadvantage to explain keeping $40.
If an essential game needs an analog range, touch, motion or a special control, resolve a complete acceptable route before recommending RG34XX. A convenient alternate mapping can be useful, but is not automatically the original interaction.
11. RGB30's two sticks need recognition, mapping and a useful task
The displayed RGB30 source shows two lower front sticks, not a stickless layout. That physical difference creates possible input choices. It does not certify their sensor technology, measured precision, dead zones, latency or a lifetime drift result.
Establish the next layers: the installed software recognizes the input, the emulator maps it appropriately, and the desired game benefits from the action. A character moving in an illustration does not reveal which control produced movement.
Mapping a stick to digital directions can be a personal preference where supported. Reproducing genuine analog behavior is a different requirement. A second stick cannot add a camera mechanic to a release that did not support one, nor does it certify a more demanding console.
If the essential routine remains digital-led, you may never use the sticks. RGB30's square picture can still have a separate purpose; there is no need to invent an input benefit. If the task is genuinely analog-led, demonstrate that complete task rather than choosing by stick count alone.
12. H700 and RK3566 are source context, not a speed percentage
RG34XX's retrieved description attributes H700 Cortex-A53 at 1.5GHz, G31 MP2 and 1GB RAM to the model source. RGB30's displayed supplier processor graphic names RK3566, Cortex-A55 and 1.8GHz; its historic handle also names RK3566. These are advertised hardware references, not current-unit chip readouts or paired benchmarks.
Clock and architecture wording cannot supply an invented frame-rate advantage. RGB30's higher price and extra display rows do not establish that every release runs faster. Likewise, RG34XX's smaller price does not establish inferior files, firmware or controls.
A useful performance request identifies the model, exact edition, build, emulator, renderer, settings and representative sequence. Include sound, meaningful input and an ordinary save. A launch logo is not a whole-game result, and a favorable short recording is not a whole-platform test.
No universal N64, PSP, Dreamcast, PS2, GameCube or modern-PC result is claimed. A demanding must-play title should decide whether either belongs on the shortlist through relevant evidence, not a chip-name league table.
13. All ten RG34XX choices are $149.99
| Exact Color value | USD selling price | Interpretation |
|---|---|---|
| Indigo 64G | $149.99 | Keep the complete selected identifier. |
| New Glacier 64G | $149.99 | New is not a demonstrated hardware upgrade. |
| Glacier 64G | $149.99 | Confirm exact appearance if essential. |
| New Black 64G | $149.99 | No listed New surcharge. |
| New TR Green 64G | $149.99 | The prefix does not certify preparation. |
| Black 64G | $149.99 | No faster black tier established. |
| New Indigo 64G | $149.99 | Current difference from plain Indigo unresolved. |
| TR Green 64G | $149.99 | Appearance is separate from game behavior. |
| New TR Red 64G | $149.99 | No game total follows from New. |
| TR Red 64G | $149.99 | Same selling price as the other values. |
This exact offer has no separate Bundle field, capacity ladder or Bag selection. Every value contains 64G and none names a game quantity. Another RG34XX URL's accessories or library claims do not become facts about these ten choices.
Five New values and five plain values do not establish equivalent batches or improved components. If a specific revision matters, ask what differs between the two complete selector names. Equal prices answer neither the revision nor installed-software question.
Glacier and TR wording should not be rewritten into preferred opaque finishes. The source overview shows different appearance directions, including translucent-looking shells. Confirm the selected finish when it is decisive; a color name does not establish material strength or performance.
14. Every selected RGB30 color has the same two prices
| Exact Color | 64G | 128G |
|---|---|---|
| Blue | $189.99 | $219.99 |
| Black | $189.99 | $219.99 |
| White | $189.99 | $219.99 |
The exact Bundle values are 64G and 128G. Neither names a game count, No Games, Bag, Only OS or a firmware. Do not extend old 15,000+ headline wording into a current supplied-content guarantee.
There is no listed color premium at either tier. Blue, Black and White do not establish different processors, panels or prepared libraries. Choose appearance after functional fit; inspect the current selected finish if opacity or shade matters.
The source's FREE bag graphic is not part of the live selector and does not inspect the current carton. A separate RGB30 offer's bag-labelled options are separate packages. Keep their prices and contents out of this simple six-choice matrix.
15. Separate the $40 model question from the $30 storage question
RGB30 64G at $189.99 is $40 above RG34XX at $149.99. RGB30 128G at $219.99 is $70 above RG34XX and $30 above RGB30 64G. Those comparisons are all correct, but answer different purchasing questions.
The first decision is whether the square canvas, actual input routine or another confirmed configuration benefit earns $40. The second is whether additional verified usable room earns $30 within RGB30. Combining them does not create a new processor or a measured $70 performance tier.
| Selected comparison | Base-price difference | What must earn it |
|---|---|---|
| RG34XX 64G $149.99 → RGB30 64G $189.99 | +$40 | A useful square view, supported input or exact prepared-setup benefit. |
| RGB30 64G $189.99 → RGB30 128G $219.99 | +$30 | Actually needed additional usable space or confirmed package benefit. |
| RG34XX 64G $149.99 → RGB30 128G $219.99 | +$70 | Both a relevant model choice and a justified higher-capacity choice. |
These are whole-offer differences, not isolated prices for sticks, a panel, a card or installation. Matching 64G labels do not standardize physical media, free space, firmware, contents or accessories. Final destination totals are separate from dated USD base prices.
A saving is valid when the actual lower-price format meets the brief. A premium is valid when it buys a benefit you will repeatedly use. Neither needs an inflated winner score or an invented defect in the other device.
16. The delivered Linux-based setup makes the format useful
RG34XX's description has a Linux-based retro gaming OS direction without establishing a named installed distribution across these options. RGB30's older headline referred to ArkOS, but no current booted build or delivered version is verified here.
ArkOS is community firmware within a Linux-based environment, not a separate operating-system family competing with Linux. Keep the actual name unconfirmed rather than borrowing ArkOS, muOS, Android, Google Play or another project's features by analogy.
If scaling is the purchase reason, identify available integer modes, aspect correction, filters, overlays and viewports in the actual emulator. If a stick task is the reason, identify recognition and mapping. If stopping and returning is the reason, identify saves, supported exit and power behavior.
Preserve the working setup and supported backups of valuable progress before changes. Different boards, revisions and software need exact-model guidance. Similar Linux wording and nominal storage do not establish interchangeable whole cards; this is not a firmware-flashing procedure.
17. Storage should serve an understood collection
64G and 128G are nominal package labels, not RAM, chip performance or complete current file inventories. They do not establish the physical card count, brand, recognized capacity, filesystem, system allocation or free space.
A focused collection needs compatible formats, useful organization and room for progress and supporting files. A larger label can serve a real need, but should follow the choice of useful screen and controls. More unknown menu entries do not necessarily make the first session better.
For RGB30's $30 step, ask what physical arrangement and usable room actually differ. Do not assume an extra card or additional working titles, and do not treat the entire nominal capacity as free. For RG34XX, this offer has no higher-capacity selector to optimize.
If the actual 64G setup fits the few games you intend to play, keeping it is a positive decision. If your known collection needs more room and the selected 128G arrangement supplies it, the larger choice has a concrete reason. Neither decision changes panel geometry.
18. A count, a launch and meaningful play are different evidence
An option-specific inventory can establish file presence when actually documented. A launch addresses another layer. Representative play, sound, required inputs, saving and reopening address more. A number in an old title or an image cannot replace that chain.
For a GBA-era interest, identify the exact release and language rather than any title in the franchise. For disc-based or arcade interests, formats, emulator versions and necessary authorized system files can affect the route. A larger card does not correct an incompatible file or absent control.
No audited whole-library report is supplied for either selected offer. Screen illustrations do not establish named game delivery. Use content you have the right to use; this article provides no game-file sources or distribution-rights audit.
An unanswered essential should remain a reason to pause. Unknown is not certified absence, but it cannot become a confirmed yes through repetition, a familiar chip or another nominal capacity. Optional experiments can remain optional without distorting the main recommendation.
19. Include the save you will reopen tomorrow
For a continuing adventure, use disposable early progress to learn the game's ordinary save, supported exit, normal restart and reload. The point is an understandable routine before you invest many hours, not merely an impressive opening scene.
Native saves, emulator states, suspension and shutdown are different actions. A dark screen does not certify that writes finished, progress is safe or standby draw is zero. A familiar shortcut from another build does not establish the same behavior here.
If replacing or supplementing another handheld, protect the valued original setup. Confirm the supported save format with a copy before migration. States need not be portable between cores or versions, and moving a whole system card is not a general transfer method.
Convenient stopping can be a useful confirmed benefit. Imagined instant resume is not a reason to pay $40 or $70. The illustrations in this guide do not demonstrate boot, sleep, saving or safe shutdown.
20. Four routines that make the tradeoff concrete
A GBA-first chapter after dinner
Investigate RG34XX for the horizontal digital front and full-panel 3× possibility. Confirm text, shoulders, action and progress. The four-inch square label alone does not supply a substantially larger proportional GBA image.
A near-square classic collection
Investigate RGB30 when the additional physical height serves your exact releases. Compare populated interfaces and real available modes. Its 64G tier can be enough when actual preparation and room fit.
A demonstrated stick-dependent task
Investigate RGB30's actual recognition, mapping and useful action. Two controls on the front are not an advanced-platform certificate or a reason to invent a second-stick mechanic.
A personal second handheld
Give the new device a distinct wanted role: horizontal GBA-shaped pixels or a useful square view. Preserve the existing campaign and choose capacity after the role is established.
These are proposed buyer situations, not customer reviews, measured demographic segments or proven conversion winners. A different documented format can be the right choice when neither selected setup covers an indispensable requirement.
Think about the repeatable evening rather than the novelty of the first image. The view, actions and accessible progress should make you want to pick the device up again. A color can support that preference without creating a hardware tier.
21. Choose the gift's first evening before its color
Ask about the recipient's exact favorite releases, reading needs and willingness to prepare software. A person who wants a digital GBA routine may prefer RG34XX; someone who enjoys a near-square view or a demonstrated useful input may prefer RGB30.
Neither 64G name promises the desired game ready to launch. RGB30's 128G step does not establish less preparation. Confirm actual contents, language, instructions and who will help with non-routine file work before assuming beginner readiness.
Choose appearance after useful fit. A New prefix, TR label, White selector or higher price does not certify a recipient's preferred finish, material, age suitability or durability. Source appearance and current selected-unit detail are separate questions.
For a fixed occasion, use confirmed current order information rather than source shipping badges. This guide creates no arrival deadline, service response promise, warranty duration or new return entitlement. A thoughtful gift is an understood first session, not an inflated library headline.
22. Carrying, power and optional connections stay separate
Both are horizontal source layouts, but that does not certify equal dimensions, weight, pocket fit or comfortable shoulder reach. Check a required compartment against actual measurements, including protruding controls. A pictured bag is not a confirmed inclusion or protection rating.
RG34XX's source battery figure does not provide a matched endurance test against RGB30. This selected RGB30 description lacks a current measured runtime or charging record. Do not import another offer's battery or adapter details to create a winner.
If network, television, headset or controller use is essential, identify the full hardware, software and accessory route. Source Wi-Fi wording does not automatically establish Bluetooth, game-link features, universal netplay or a ready streaming client. A familiar connector alone does not certify video output.
Streaming depends on a supported host, network and client where applicable; it is not native modern-game execution. Keep optional features optional. For an offline buyer, the relevant demonstration may simply be local play and saving without a network.
23. The facts and limits behind this recommendation
The catalog directly establishes ten RG34XX selectors and six RGB30 color-and-capacity combinations with their prices. Their complete current connections do not inspect warehouse quantities, physical media, carton contents or destination-specific totals.
The RG34XX description attributes its panel, H700 and Linux direction to model sources. RGB30's historic handle supplies 720×720 IPS, while displayed supplier graphics advertise four inches and RK3566. These are attributed specifications, not independently measured selected panels, teardowns or installed-build records.
The original references displayed for this production support pictured layout: both horizontal, RG34XX digital-led without front sticks, RGB30 with two lower sticks. They contain promotional copy and screen art; that copy is not adopted as fulfillment or game-capability evidence.
The two selected existing editorial figures were displayed and retained for distinct adventure and platform-session roles. They are generated illustrations, not pixel-identical photography, calibrated viewport diagrams or captured game tests. The standard purple R36S cover depicts neither compared model.
Price arithmetic and ideal picture geometry were computed separately. Those calculations explain possible presentation differences under stated dimensions; they do not certify actual emulator modes, brightness, input quality, comfortable reading or reliable progress. No paired optical, gameplay, ergonomic, battery or current-carton result is reported.
Choose deliberately, or pause the unanswered essential
RG34XX for a wanted GBA-shaped digital routine
You specifically want its horizontal body and actual 3:2 presentation. The relevant games, inputs, reading, preparation and saving meet the brief. $149.99 serves a real preference without an invented all-platform promise.
RGB30 for a useful square view or supported input
Your near-square collection or another meaningful demonstrated task earns $40 at 64G. Add $30 for 128G only when the actual extra room serves a known need. The four-inch headline alone is not enough.
Pause either for unresolved essential games, analog behavior, touch, readability, firmware, accessories or connections. Another finish, more storage or a dramatic scene does not close those questions.
The correct result can be the lower-price format, the purposeful premium or neither. Explain the repeated benefit in one sentence rather than inventing a universal winner score.

Direct answers before ordering
Which should I investigate first?
RG34XX at $149.99 for a wanted horizontal GBA-shaped digital routine and confirmed setup. Investigate RGB30 64G at $189.99 for a useful square view or demonstrated input benefit; neither is universally best.
Are these horizontal-versus-vertical alternatives?
No. Both source references show screens between left and right controls. The comparison is GBA-shaped digital presentation versus a square canvas and stick-bearing front, with exact preparation and prices.
What are the source display figures?
RG34XX's description lists 3.4-inch IPS, 720×480 and 3:2. RGB30's historic handle lists 720×720 IPS and its source graphic advertises four inches. These are attributed sources, not measured current panels.
Does RGB30 make the GBA picture much larger?
Not from the ideal advertised geometry. Both panels calculate to approximately 2.83 inches wide, giving approximately 3.40-inch proportional GBA pictures. Actual visible panels and software viewports still need checking.
How does the 240×160 integer example fit?
Three times gives 720×480: full grid on listed RG34XX, or a centered image with 120 rows above and below on listed RGB30. This is arithmetic, not a record of installed settings.
Are borders a compatibility failure?
No. Correct proportions or integer mapping can intentionally leave unused space. Stretching changes shapes and cropping can hide information. Choose the actual intended presentation rather than the fullest promotional image.
Where does square height have a stronger role?
Near-square material can use more of that height. The raw 160×144 integer examples calculate to about 2.54-inch active diagonal on RG34XX at 3× and 3.38 on RGB30 at 4×, under ideal source dimensions.
What are the near-square integer borders?
480×432 centered in RG34XX's 720×480 leaves 120 pixels each side and 24 above and below. 640×576 in RGB30's 720×720 leaves 40 each side and 72 above and below. Actual overlays and modes can differ.
What about maximum near-square and 4:3 viewing?
Ideal maximum 10:9 fit calculates to about 2.82 inches on RG34XX and 3.81 on RGB30. Ideal 4:3 fit is about 3.14 and 3.54. These proportion-preserved examples differ from integer modes and are not measured readability results.
Does more panel height or 3× mean faster games?
No. Panel geometry and pixel mapping do not establish processor speed, original detail or whole-game performance. The extra square rows do not expand the same GBA source world.
Which reference has front sticks?
RGB30's displayed source shows two lower front sticks; RG34XX's displayed reference has a digital front without sticks. Appearance does not establish sensor type, latency, comfort or an actual game mapping.
What makes a stick useful?
Physical presence, software recognition, appropriate mapping and a meaningful action are separate checks. A second stick does not create unsupported camera behavior or certify a demanding platform.
Do RK3566 and H700 establish a winner?
No paired title-level benchmark is supplied. These are attributed model-source directions; firmware, emulator, settings, release and actual behavior matter. Price and architecture names do not supply a frame-rate percentage.
What are RG34XX's exact choices?
Ten Color-only names ending in 64G, all $149.99, with five New and five plain values. Preserve the complete selector in the table. No separate Bundle ladder or game quantity appears in these current names.
Does New certify an upgrade or Glacier an opaque finish?
Neither follows from the name. Current component and firmware differences are unestablished, and the overview includes translucent-looking directions. Confirm the exact selected appearance or revision when important.
What are RGB30's exact choices?
Blue, Black and White, each with 64G at $189.99 or 128G at $219.99. The complete selected offer has six variants, no color premium and no Bag, No Card or game-count selector.
Is the premium $40, $30 or $70?
RGB30 64G is $40 above RG34XX. RGB30 128G adds $30 within RGB30 and is $70 above RG34XX. Each is a named whole-offer difference, not an isolated component price or matched-library result.
Are my games or the FREE bag guaranteed?
Neither current capacity label gives a title manifest, and the supplier FREE bag graphic does not confirm the selected carton. Confirm actual desired releases, lawful contents, media and accessories separately.
Is ArkOS installed, and can cards or saves be exchanged?
No named current delivered build or whole-card interchangeability is verified here. Identify the actual Linux-based environment and media roles. Preserve valued originals and investigate supported save formats with copies; states can differ across cores and versions.
Which is proven better for travel, battery or connected use?
No paired result establishes one. Confirm actual carry fit, current charging guidance, useful runtime and the complete software/accessory route for an essential connection. Do not borrow another URL's promises.
Do these images demonstrate gameplay or scaling?
No. The two reused generated editorial figures were displayed for this production and illustrate adventure and platform interests. They are not captured tests, precise viewports, current stock or supplied games. The purple R36S cover is neither compared model.
What is the final buying rule?
Choose RG34XX for a wanted horizontal GBA-shaped digital routine that actually fits. Pay $40 for RGB30 64G only for useful square viewing, supported input or confirmed setup; add $30 for 128G only for a real usable-space need.
Buy the useful view, not the biggest diagonal label.
RG34XX at $149.99 is the starting route for a wanted horizontal GBA-shaped digital routine. Its full-panel 3× possibility is relevant when the actual software, text, inputs and progress meet the brief. RGB30's ideal four-inch square does not make that proportional GBA picture much larger.
RGB30 64G at $189.99 is the purposeful alternative for useful square height, a demonstrated stick task or another confirmed configuration benefit. The $40 should have a job. Its 128G tier is a separate $30 decision, not automatically a faster or better-prepared machine.
Choose the session you want to reopen, with readable information, meaningful controls and an understood save routine. Explain the premium or saving with a benefit you will use. Pause the unanswered essential rather than buying a claim that no count, chip name or illustration can establish.
